Another Monday

I think the crazies are taking over. Went for a swim today and my first crazy was this female who shared the lane with Adam and me. For some reason she wanted to use the middle of the lane. Let's not do what everyone else is doing and share.  No that's all to hard.  Even when I swam close to the middle and waved my arm at her. She stopped and looked around but continued to use the middle. Adam and I also passed her on both sides at the same time but she didn't get it. Oh well just one of those people.

Then crazy number two was the guy I saw riding his bike home with his helmet hanging from his backpack. Now as a young kid I was not one to wear my stack hat if I could get away with it but if you are going to carry it why not just use it. At least some part off his backpack will be safe when he falls off.

The official aquathon results are in. Not to bad for me.  I was feeling it a bit today. Even had a little sleep on the train today on my way home from work.  :)

  1. My turn to share my crazy person experience in the pool. I've swam in a pool for close to 25 years now and feel like I have learned the etiquette of the pool. Whenever I go and the lanes are full I wait until someone pops their head up out of the water to make sure I can share their lane. If no one does, I'll hop in a lane and get their attention under water so we can decide to either circle swim or split the lane. A few weeks ago I was swimming, oblivious to my surroundings when I crashed head on into a woman in my lane. She didn't try to get my attention, she said she just yelled from above and when I didn't lift my head she just started swimming right down the middle and crashed right into me. 1) If you're going to share someone's lane with them while they're already swimming, get their attention first. 2) If you're not going to get their attention then be aware of your surroundings so you don't plow into them! Good grief!

  2. Haha.. Glad I am not the only one this happens too. These people always make me think of the movie idiocracy.
